Rieber IPS - Product Line 1 1/2” ~ 24”
The Rieber IPS gasket manufactured by Max Seal is molded from a rubber compound using state of the art machinery and processes. The gasket design has been in the market for more than 28 years, making it the industry standard due to the following well known characteristics:
Materials and Performance
The Rieber IPS gasket, designed to work with pipe specified in ASTM-2241 is made of an elastomeric material (SBR being the standard) that complies with the latest versions of ASTM F477/HH, EN 681, CSA and all the performance requirements put forward by ASTM D3139. The rubber compounds have been formulated to comply with potable water standards as ANSI 61 and are duly listed in the corresponding agencies. Diameters from 14”and larger have an encapsulated metal band that assists the belling process of large diameter pipe. The seals can be also manufactured under special order in materials like EPDM, Nitrile and Neoprene. The SBR rubber compound has been formulated as a self lubricating material to prevent the use additional lubricant when loading the gasket in the belling mandrel.
The gasket dimensions are compatible with existing belling tooling that has been in use since the inception of the product and are depicted in the table.
